Does your fragrance fade too fast? With these 8 simple tips, make it last from morning to night — without reapplying every two hours.
1. Moisturise your skin
Fragrance lasts much better on moisturised skin. Apply a neutral cream just before: the oils help fix the fragrance.
2. Spray on pulse points
Wrists, neck, behind the ears, the inner elbow, behind the knees: these warm areas diffuse the fragrance all day long.
3. Never rub your wrists
Rubbing breaks the molecules and makes the top notes disappear faster. Dab gently or let it air-dry.
4. Apply right after the shower
On clean, still slightly damp skin, fragrance grips better and lasts longer.
5. Think about layering
Layer shower gel, body lotion and perfume from the same range: the scent gains depth and longevity.
6. Spray your clothes and hair too
Fabric and hair hold fragrance longer than skin. A light spray from a distance works wonders (avoid delicate fabrics).
7. Choose higher concentrations
Eau de parfum and especially perfume extracts last far longer than eau de toilette. Oriental fragrances, highly concentrated, are longevity champions — like Liquid Brun or Khamrah.
8. Store your bottles well
Away from light, heat and humidity: a well-stored perfume keeps all its power. Avoid the bathroom.
